Corey Olsen, Dave Kale, and Trish Lambert continue to consider the “fringe characters” in The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Using recently unveiled Lego sets for the second movie of the trilogy, our spunky co-hosts attempt to figure out how characters who either are not in the book or have very minor roles in the written work will figure in Peter Jackson’s version of the story. Because much of the conversation pertained to photos of the Lego sets in question, a visual companion is provided along with the audio file to serve as a reference.
